Chimera/Hydra and future Non-Duty Finder items.

If you want me to play this game, I want to be able to enjoy engame content, I want to be able to get items. If this is how you perceive to make this accessible to people, you're wrong.

I don't want to have to leave my friends, ( or drag them along ) to one of the many sub-par or generally intolerant FC's that exist on my server. We bought the game together to have fun. This is not helping.


You put these questlines in that require a pug, that have increasingly lower popularity as time goes on. What happens as people all start getting these items ? Fewer people run them ( dont start the other class/job babble ).
Yet you have every other instance or hard-mode available on Duty Finder.

While I have enjoyed your game thus far is this is the direction youre taking with endgame content then my friends and I will be concluding our time when our trial periods end ( which is not far off ). I have and will not be purchasing further renewals if this is how the game is to stay.

Overall everything in the game has been excellent, but to be walled out of content like this.... well... I have something I'd like to say about that but its not entirely appropriate.

No skill cap is required in joining a FC just to get carried to the item.

If you want to make the item difficult to get make the encounter itself difficult , not the ability to take it on.

Or you just join a small FC with some friends. Small FCs usually find allies / other small FCs to do bigger content together but otherwise stay in their smaller group. For communication you get an extra chat channel: Linkshells.

So what exactly are you ranting about?

Most people get around this by showing initiative and shouting to fill their group out, or finding a few more members for their FC. If your version of initiative is quitting, then so be it. But how are you going to feel knowing that you didn't really give it your best shot?

Also, the fact that you're bad mouthing other FC's is a pretty sure sign that you're the one who's heading down the path of intolerance. Try to find a decent FC and you might be surprised, it's not like it costs you anything, and you stand to gain a good group of people to play with. Don't like the FC? Leave. It's that simple.

Also while I agree it can take sometime to put together a party for such things I am glad they are there. They feel like much more personal tasks when done with those on your same server.

Also, there soon will be a party finder tool that should greatly enhance our ability to find people on our server to do like-minded content. Something that should have been around to begin with but for now I find there is ample people who either want to run it or want to help.

As side tips you don't need a 'perfect' party setup for Chimera/Hydra. All you really need is a few able bodies. One tank, one healer and some DDs. The more you have of the first two the greater and easier your chance of success. Did Chimera with only one tank, 3 healers, and rest BLMs. Hydra was easy with 2 PLDs, 1 WAR, a WHM, and some DDs.

Sigh... and ouch?

I have 4 RL friends I play with , all not on the same level of play as me. Not on as often as me. They look to me for advice and help when playing (when they're even online).

I don't feel I should be forced to leave them is all.
