5/10.
Pros-
-Battle is fun on caster classes.
-Game looks and sounds great.
-Crafting and gathering are great.
-Story / lore are good enough to be in a FF title.
Cons-
-Winning any battle content at 50 is about memorizing how to dance properly and passing the gear check.
-Lack of a pure buff/debuff job and a lack of a need for one in general.
-Lack of the ability or reason for secondary gear sets that significantly change your job when appropriate.
-While crafting and gathering are great, there is no real reason to do it except to feed your other dol/doh classes.
-The flow of materials in to the markets is way too high for gathered items. Farmed items don't have enough places or mobs to get them from. Everything of worth dies the instant it spawns. It's beyond 'deal with competition' and is to the point of driving a person mad if they try to farm.
-RMT. Usually I don't really care if they are around or not. Here they actually annoy you.
-Lacking polish. No right click / blacklist. Market board interface is clumsy. Little to no in game info (e.g. stat caps for melds before you have the materia, gear available that isn't sellable, HQ stats in crafting log etc.) Job balance is a tad off, but close enough to be quickly fixed whenever they decide to commit resources to it.
-End game seems like a rush to not play anymore, instead of an achievement and a reason to carry on. Entirely subjective but I'm definitely not alone in feeling this way.
-The social aspects of duty finder and grindable relics have turned end game in to a situation I don't enjoy being in outside of my FC. It feels to me instead of 'you have to be good enough' it is now 'you have to had spent 130 hours spamming PR/AK to play with us'.
So how is it a 5/10 to me when there are far more cons than pros? All the other MMO options are still a step down and I'm a bit biased as I have made good friends in my FC that I spend most of my in game time with.
