a solid 8 there are places they can improve but overall the experience is fun like an MMO should be. I like the flexibility to do whatever I want just by changing weapons.

It's a great game. It needs some work. But it's fantastic.
I give it a 6/10 currently. The main issue is the staying power and endgame. I honestly feel even with a ton new content coming up a 7/10 is the highest I can rate it. The core design concepts I feel are flawed for the longevity of the game.
Positives:
1) No forced group leveling
2) Variety of leveling content
3) Alot of low level dungeons
4) No class/race locking
5) Graphics are top notch
6) Sound Track is the best of any mmo
Negatives
1) Game is ultra linear, 1 set of gear leads to the next
2) The devs are supporting the negating content path causing all work to be worthless
3) Lack of current endgame (Fixing it hopefully next patch)
4) Lack of party focus/reward outside dungeons/instances
5) Game world is small
6) Worst economy I ever seen in a mmo
7) FATES, personal opinion yes but they all suck... mindless zergs with too much emphasis. They were subpar in GW2 and they still are not fun here. <= they are ok to have but the devs are putting massive focus on them which is one of the biggest mistakes they are making in my opinion. The game would improve a lot more if they added non-fate open world content.
8) Everything is over simplistic
9) Boss fights are 100% scripted, they literally do the exact same things at the exact same times every time.
10) XP rewards are unballanced. Fate 20k xp in 4mins, dungeon 70k xp in 40mins. (yea something needs to be done, saying gear is the reward is not enough... dungeon gear is almost meaningless in the game since FC gear = good enough until endgame)
11) Token gear being equal or better then dungeon drops. Mythology gear should be = Darklite currently, philosophy should be equal to item level 55 stuff, allagan should be BIS.
Neutral:
1) Main Story, better then most mmo I feel it is weaker then most FF games though XI included.
2) Too many fetch it quest. Can skip them so meh
3) Quest story lines are weak. Again can skip if I want
4) Guild Settings/Controls. Most people use external websites/programs to do it.. so meh
8/10 for my first journey through 1-50.
But when you hit that cap and finished the story... seriously? I'm here just really hoping the 2.1 patch(and onwards) delivers.
6/10. Because I see the game to have potential and grow in due time.

+ Storyline post 40 is extremely fun.
+ Cool crafting system. Simple.

- FATE's break this game for various reason. Fix them. They were fun in GW2 because it was actually dynamic and fun to do, main reason I stayed till level 40 and quit. It was fun. No this boring zerg zone fest of event's that do not even load well..It gives too much EXP so no one bothers re-running dungeons or anything.
Like Xatsh said, you can get more EXP in 4 mins than a dungeons full run in 1hr or more, that is sad. Why do runs when FATE's are better?
- Sub-leveling is a pain in peoples ass because it relies on FATE grind. There not many quests to do anymore...
- Game hands you everything on a silver platter. NPC's give you gear/weapon every other level.
- To go in hand with the above crafting is useless and the main point of it is to rush it to 50 where people need you. More of a hobby than anything till then.
Fishing needs help too as it is the most useless .. gather thing. In other MMO's, we don't get gear every 3 levels, people craft at, let's say, 34 gear, and you buy them. You made it this way so what is the point of selling early gear anymore? You're making it too hard to earn gil.
- RMT'S are killing this game and it's economy. Can't play the market.
- Lack of content all around. It's pretty barren.
- Limit break's are a joke.
- Combat is pretty dull, and cross-class skills is boring.
- The armor in general is ugly, esp robes.
- Chocobo companions suck.
- This community...lmao.
- Game generally is generic, even moreso than the next MMO. Nothing to really "wow" you out. It's disappointing.
The con's outweigh the pro's def. but there's much much MUCH room for improvement which is why I stay.
I trust Yoshi and the team to listen to us at some point and have their own fun things up the sleeves.
They just need to do what's wrong to make this a blooming MMO for all to enjoy for years to come.
Many games get better in due time but I feel like as a re-boot, there could of been more then what the dished out.
Just hope whatever they do can help the longevity of this game. People come and go a lot, and don't give it a few months chances.

9/10 It would get 10/10 if i could play every aspect of the game solo.
Yes i know this is an MMO, but MMO has nothing to do with having to party with other people. It is all about being part of a world filled with other players.
I love this game! I am having so much fun. 9 out of 10!
