Exploration, sense of adventure: FFXIV 1.0 + 1.23 -> 9.5/10 ARR -> 4.5/10

Gameplay: FFXIV 1.23 -> 5/10 ARR 2.0 -> 7/10

Battle System: FFXIV 1.0 -> 7/10 - FF14 1.23 -> 6/10 - ARR 2.0 -> 4/10

Basic Content: FFXIV 1.0 -> 2/10 - FF14 1.23 -> 5/10 - ARR 6/10

Leveling System: FFXIV 1.0 -> 4/10 - FFXIV 1.23 -> 6/10 - ARR 2/10 -> Sorry but fates are too easy, mindless and basically destroy all other ways of exping coz everything else seems pointless. EXP gained from fates seriously needs to drop.

Story line: FFXIV 1.0 -> What story??? - FF14 1.23 -> Ohh that story 4/10 - ARR 8/10

End Game Content: FFXIV 1.23 -> 5/10 - ARR -> 6.5/10

End game enjoyment: FFXIV 1.23 -> 7/10 - ARR -> 4/10 - I still think ARR is way too easy. Also the majority of the content is so pointless now that you basically repeat the same two dungeons CM and AK and there is even a cap on how much you can earn...

Casual Friendly: FFXIV 1.0 -> 5/10 - FF14 1.23 -> 3/10 - ARR -> 9/10

Hardcore Player Worthy: FFXIV 1.0 -> 6/10 - FF14 1.23 -> 9/10 - ARR -> One fight Titan thats about all I can recall having any difficulty sorry to those who disagree ARR -> 3.5/10

Honestly given the huge pro and con differences between all three versions 1.0, 1.23 and 2.0 I have a real hard time deciding which I prefer, it's a shame ARR didn't retain all the good things from 1.0 + 1.23 and for that reason ARR only gets a 4.5/10 from me.

reason: this is my second month and i'm still going back home from work as fast as i could just to play
that's how much i'm addicted to this game
i also feel bored a bit, especially on castrum grind, but i usually do other level 40+ dungeons to refresh things

You know metacritic means nothing to MMOs...especially MMOs. Remember that other MMO that got even better scores than FFXIV and people praised it out the bum....and that game went F2P in less than 6 months. http://www.metacritic.com/game/ios/s...e-old-republic

Other than that, i still run from work to home too to play.
I love the graphics, because I can play the game with a decent framerate, where on 1.0 my lappy couldn't even run the benchmark.

I don't have 'ping issues' or problems with the 'netcode' or whatever else everyone fabricates because they suck at dodging.

I'm having lots of fun, the game is beautiful. Crafting has come a long way since 1.0, but it's a little bit too easy right now. I really miss party grind dynamics, and feel that if there was open world exp parties I could bump this to 10. I'm more of a casual than in my XI days though, so this may be a good thing.

I'll be a long-time subscriber, will probably play this for years. Nothing else interests me in the slightest, game-wise.

maps. 100% improvement from 1.0
crafting. hated alt tabbing to look up mats for synths
gathering. lots better then 1.0
dyed gear. love this just wish i could dye more. a white set of darklight would be sexy
UI. not a big fan of the boxes everywhere but it works.
gear change. like switching gear with out taking 5 mins every time
DF. i actualy like this. what i dont like is the ppl comming in bitching about how long it takes and treating new ppl like shit because its there first time. if your so hot and so elite run with your free copany you are ruining the game for everyone. and stop clogging the DF with your nerd rage.
