I'd say 7/10.

This is a fantastic refurbishment, and quite an achievement to revive an mmo. There are some flaws that need to be addressed, and how people score/judge this game should be based on SE's initiative to improve the QoL of the game, how they listen to their player-base, and how well they address issues. If they stay on top of it all, I think this will turn out to be a pretty solid MMO regardless of whether it can perform competitively.

I can at least say this was a great effort.

A lot of fun, but some perplexing design choices diminish it a bit. A lot of little thing that add up (chocobo companions poorly implemented, mandatory dungeons for story progression, etc.).

Though the upcoming content patch, if it is as awesome as it looks, may bump this up to a high 9/10 for me.

Quite enjoying myself, in large part due to being in a fun and active FC that does stuff pretty much daily. I had 2 jobs at 50 already from 1.0, and haven't levelled much in ARR apart from getting some classes high enough to cross-class a few skills.

I think if I'd had to level from scratch, the score would be lower considering I don't much like the levelling in the game.

I have been a little negative towards this game on the forums here, but all in all I still subbed and I do still enjoy playing. That said if I had to give it a fair rating, I would go with 7/10. I feel like it has potential to be better than that with the right content and updates, but for now it certainly isn't perfect.

The game is overall pretty good, the community is probably the biggest drawback for me, so many rude players and jerks that take their time online WAY to serious. Don't get me wrong I don't login with the intentions of failing..but I also am not going to bully other players or nerd rage on an MMO because our group is struggling. Thankfully, there are some mature players on the game and with the help of a good FC it is possible to avoid many of those situations...but as most of us know its basically a crap shoot using the DF.

Honestly, I wish they would create a few Role Playing servers. I am not really super big into the RP usually, but I think the crowd that would attract would be much more like myself..where players play the game for the enjoyment of just playing and existing in a vibrant final fantasy universe and people do not act like their trying to join some imaginary pro FF14:ARR circuit.

I enjoyed leveling up and story but the Cm runs bore me to no end so I start gathering but that will not entertain me for ever
Can't wait for more content ^^
