(Bias' aside on how you view Walmart), You can't just compare a single firm to an entire economy.I could argue that wall-mart thrives on abusing a corrupt system and their employees. While sending employees on to public service programs they rake in profits and tax breaks.
In our game world the RMT represent Wall Mart exactly. They abuse bots and other means to have zero invested in a product , thus pushing everyone who is not corrupt out of the market.
In real life our government backs wall-mart, as they get kick backs in many cases. In our game world however action has to be taken(as SE gets no kick backs), even if it appears to be socialism ..Thus we can not treat the game market the same as the market is treated in real life, unless yall want to see the rise 'of the Occupy Hawkers Ally movement. ...

No bias in how i view Wall Mart, that is their business model..Manufacture goods in a cheap communist society and sell them in a capitalist society. Also i can use it as an example for our economy because it is the way many of our major company's do business. Apple,Wall Mart, whatever.....
The only big difference is that in game you can put yourself in the Big Banker seat just by coughing up some IRL cash to the BOT farmers. Thus having a vast fortune insta printed for you.
it take a very dedicated gamer to not fall for that ploy. Who wants to be broke and scrubbing? That is why you get all of us who care at all arguing between each other on forums (preaching to the choir).
The company in charge has to step in and firmly stop the cheating and dampen its effects however they can. Removing the ability to openly manipulate visible price listings is one step I think should be taken. Not a step that would be perfect in a bot free utopia game none of us have ever played or seen.
