This is not a wholesale market!

I just realize this recently that current market system won't allow people to buy singles, instead need to buy them as packages/sets only?

Both XI & XIV 1.0 allows people to put their wares in market in both ways. If it less than a set (dozen in XI or 99 in XIV 1.0), other player can purchase to amount of quantity they wanted.

But why wholesale? As I understand, wholesale is how supplier sell their stuff to distributors, not customers. And this game market trying to make distributors = customers?

I have read some of post in Jinko's thread:
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...the-marketward.
... which includes dev response as follows:

Unfortunately, I find this idea rather ridiculous since I find the whole idea are, again, promoting wholesale marketing, something a mere customer have harder time to grasp or even research. Does majority of people like buying stacks of stuff while he/she only need like even little quantity from it?

And again, from what I read on dev response, it seems like they want to punish people who lack / have very little understanding of WHOLESALE market? Not regular market, but WHOLESALE!

Does anybody thinks this is a bad idea? Because I do!

This needs to be fixed pronto!

FYI there's nothing stopping someone from selling a single, maybe you should tap the demand for singles and sell them yourself?

Thats the difference between a competent player and a cry babies. Competent players sees opportunities around the mechanics. Cry babies just cry when anything is outside of their comfort zone. Can't wait to see how the world turns out 20 years from now.

    Haha.

That answer just making yourself admitting that you are in fact, a hoarder! You buy stuff alot more than you need and let the rest piled up in the corner.

Did you really think money is the problem? SPACE IS THE REAL PROBLEM!

If I have to buy things way more than I need, then I have to make do with leftovers right? Like selling back or pile it for future crafting maybe.

And what do you think happen when everytime I buy things with extra junks? Didn't it pile up like mountain and effectively making space problems?

Not that I can't tidy my space, but doing so creates HUGE waste of time.

    Not very clever answer btw.
