What is the news with server updates....Full group and still 30+ min to enter..fail

I am just curious what the deal is with the servers. I am happy that it doesn't take long to get into the game anymore and their is a que time..that takes maybe 30 seconds to enter, but doing dungeons is just blowing my mind currently with the poor design.

My FC joins AK with a full group but we have to wait 30+ minutes for an instance to open up? I've played nearly every major MMO over the last 15 years and I have NEVER seen a game were you have to wait to enter a dungeon due to not enough instances available. I can understand if you are farming the zone and it only takes 20 minutes to complete and a lockout timer is required to ensure speed runs don't unbalance game design but having 200 full groups ready to play and only 100 instance spots available for them to do it in?

Can someone explain to me if they plan to fix this...or how in the world some MORON in the a major gaming company sold this stupid idea to the lead game designer.

This will happen every weeks after the ToM reset.
As long as AK is the only good way to farm them, people will farm AK to death the next hours following the reset until their capped again causing this, no matter how many instances are available.

You just tried at the wrong time, wait for the next day or keep trying and deal with 30min for a spot.

I don't think you understood his point, why are there not more instances available? We shouldn't be waiting this long with a ready made party, period.

The concept of wrong time is just an excuse. For a lot of people the weeknights are like this every night, and there isn't much other time available to play. There is no right time in some people's playing schedules.

Part of the problem is that AK is so popular and there are no alternatives, the other part is that the infrastructure simply doesn't handle enough instances. It should be improved at the very least, until such time as there is more content to spread people over.

Wrong time as in, wrong day. Monday = weekly reset = everyone spamming AK runs to get their 300 myth tomes again. By Wednesday or Thursday, it's dead again.

You have misunderstood too. I'm well aware of when the tome reset is and how it impacts the number of people wanting AK.

You are confusing "exuse" and "explanation". Yeah, you are a client, you have paid some money, but it doesn't mean all things will go well now (in a real world at least). So. Topic started asked "how will they fix this". The answer has been given - via the additional dungeons the devs are gonna implement.

HM Garuda is faster. 7 tomes per 4-5 minutes. PLus you get some Philo too.

Want to know something worse? The zone is not refreshing the instances. If you pick duty finder already in progress you get an instance but nobody in it and the winning music is playing in background. I went in one with 30 seconds left, 2nd one was 9 minutes. If they really want to open up more instances shouldn't they clean house and close those empty instances that are finished? I bet there are 100s of those laying around and that's taking up more spots then you probably think. It is a real problem and needs to be fixed as well. Try it and you will see what I am talking about. Pick instance already in progress sometime later this week when the high volume settles down. Be on a dps job and see you get in an empty dungeon or maybe someone else but not the one you expected. It will be already finished and mobs be alive in it. That's what I am seeing.

Not playing on a Monday is not a legitimate way to run a business. If your busiest day of the week for your business was Monday, would you schedule your entire staff off except one person? The server infrastructure is broken and needs to be fixed. Don't make excuses for them...I know why it is like it is...I also know its BROKEN and needs to be fixed.

Whats even WORSE is after waiting 20+ minutes for it to pop up...if someone removes themselves or doesn't click within the 30 second window...you get REQUED back into the system for another 20+ minutes. But yeah..you keep making excuses for them or complain like I am...because maybe there is a slight chance they realize this should be the first thing they fix in this game.
