AH Mechanics! Pay Attention 101!

I've been seeing this a lot and it is very very annoying. People seem to be selling things on the AH for 1 gil when obviously, you can sell it to the npc right beside you for 1 gil, does this make any sense? You sell it on the AH for 1 gil, but you can get one gil from the npc!!! wtf people wtf? Have some common sense people, although it is not all so common. So this is why I am posting this for all you that can't comprehend game mechanics. Sell an item on the AH to get more GIL not any gil or 1 gil!

That's a fair theory, clearing ward history would be a pretty smart thing to do. However it's usually several different retainers selling 1 or a few items for one gil. Which makes me think it's just people being silly.

not to mention that ah tax....and all the people selling materia for under npc price.... /facepalm i make money off of these people but i facedesk every time i see it.

Most stuff you can sell on the MP is worthless and or supplied so heavily it becomes worthless.

Woops, I just put up 10x demon bricks for 1 gil per. I have 40 more on my retainer so no worries!

Some people might just want to provide items to other players instead of Npc vendoring them. Otherwise they might not see the indicator of the npc sell back price right there on the item before they put it up for auction. When I think of all the items that are on the auction that could easily be vendored, I am glad some of them were there to buy because I needed them for craft mats. I don't tend to put items up at vendor sell back price because with tax, it is a loss so I will bring up the price enough to recover that loss and make some form of profit that warrants a sale.

Supplying people with items and etc on the AH is ridiculous because others can just take whatever you put on the AH, so your friend is not getting shit! lol So, basically your just supplying random people and RMT's with your mats! Thanks a lot everyone! Keep the RMT's going, so we can keep the spam going! >.> Ha! If you really wanna give your items to a friend send through DB moogle or trade them.

Any time I'm trying to do something on the AH and I see stuff listed for NPC price or lower, I go ahead and buy it out and NPC it myself. Sometimes you HAVE to do that just to dig down to the HQ listings.
