It's in SE's best interest to get things fixed asap and I'm sure they will. But QQing and demanding stuff just because ONE payment method has been problematic is a little childish. Try another method, there are many.
1. It's nothing like that. Not even a little bit. A closer analogy would be; demanding a free week at Disneyland, because the park was closed on the week you paid to go. At the same time, Disneyland still charges you for the tickets, then throws you out the door and bans you from coming back for a month.

2. You obviously haven't read that she's tried three different methods, with three different cards. It wasn't just one hiccup.
