No voices in cutscenes windows 7 *solved*

Just wanted to tell you my experience, so I got to Garuda fight, but it was strange I was over level 40 and have never heard voices in cutscenes. I tried to find a solution, but my client seem to be ok, also i had every other sound in the game.

So I started to research a little and found that you have to configure your speakers so that 5.1 Surround Sound can play. I went to speakers and select configure for my active speakers (I just have a left anr right speaker, no subwoofer or any other thing)
So in audio channels I selected 5.1 surrond and click next, then on the next screen select just left and right speakers, so that all the sound of the 5.1 go through my left and right speakers.

I tryed viewing the opening movie and all set I'm now able to hear the voice acting during cutscenes, hope this work for anyone having the same problem

Thanks for the help, but in my case it doesn't work because I am playing on a laptop. So, if someone has more ideas to help, I would apreciate it.

In windows 7 there is a sort of bug that doesn't show 5.1 configuration. Most people can only get the stereo option so that video is useless and dumb to say the very least. I doubt that most gamers are that technologically retarded to have to follow a video like that. Sorry if that sounds harsh but I feel a little insulted after watching it. Thanks for trying all the same.

I have 4 PCs each with a different audio system, ALL 4 HAVE 5.1 working perfectly, so while there may be SOME people who have problems MOST probably don't.

I can hear dialogue in 'some' parts of cutscenes and not others!
Example: The envoy quests you get to take the letter to the other two leaders. I get npc dialogue right up until they read the letter and from that on no sound at all. Just the text.

If your audio is working fine why even bother looking at this thread? Trolling? To reiterate I meant most people that are having this problem. And that quote comes from my investigation of trying to find out a solution for myself

Most of my cut scenes have been without voices. I thought it was because they had not finished the voices yet and would add them in later.

Hey cut me a break, the servers were certainly unfinished at time of release.

There are very few cutscenes in the game that have spoken dialog.
