I dont craft. But it means philo stones convert into better gil amounts. Buying from the vendors would be easier and so would getting a house . Lower prices means gil buyers would just buy more items.
SE is punishing legit crafters for no reason. The items they make do not return to them . The gil buyers still get to wear the gear.

If Market Prices are cheaper, then there is less incentive/need to buy gil.
Back in my old FFXI days, I was actually tempted to buy some gil because I could not afford any of the upper tier items I needed/wanted. The AH was out of control with crafters/farmers making bank off of all the "gil buyers".
Thankfully I did not give in to the temptation and SE brought down the "Ban-Hammer" and confiscated billions of gil which led to the AH prices becoming more reasonable again.
The same thing will happen here and is happening already.
Oh, and just so you all know I am not a cold hearted bastard...I do think that SE should return the "tainted gil" items to the players who sold them...just lower the price next time you sell it. ;>)
Papa was a rolling stone...wherever he laid his barbut was home.

Thanks for all the responses. I really wanna farm dungeons to get more Potash/Coke to sell and other philo items but it just seems like it's asking to be banned. Personally I feel like those are expensive items for the reason that lots of people don't feel like farming for them and that they should cost more. Kinda just wanna secure enough gil to get my house when those come out though so I dunno, market place stuff just seems dangerous from all the things I've been hearing.

Houses are going to be FC only at first, so you won't be paying for it alone. Ideally.
