Changing character name

Does anybody know if the upcoming server transfers are a one time thing? As in you can only transfer a character once? Is there a cooldown period? As of right now I see the only way to change name is to transfer servers to a server with a character that has your name already so youll be prompted to change. Does this mean i'd have to transfer then wait a few months to transfer back just to change my name?

I contacted GM in game and they said they can't change my name. Also contacted Square via live chat and they said they can't change my name either. Going to be highly disappointed if I have to transfer and not play with my friends for 3 months in order to do a name change. Won't even be worth it.

Ok so, i sent a ticket to a GM to ask if they could change my name since i wanted to change my race and gender ingame, and the name wouldn't suit... and they told me NO go to forums and COMPLAIN (more or less this)... so i believe we need to make alot of "noise" for them to wake up to this problem... Name changes NOW!

We Need Change NAME!!! Its unfair if you can change your looks but your name ? you cant change it ? :/ Please SE add change name / Optional Service T_T

Technically you can change name by creating a char with same name as yours on another server and then change back to your server, but it's just too much money for a name change lol
