Free Company Member Login Notification Display

How have everyone’s Free Companies been doing? Any so large they feel like they can conquer all of Eorzea?

We have a couple adjustments and additions for Free Companies that the development team is working on and I wanted to let you know about them.

Though we created the Free Company member login notification as a feature to support the community, we understand that sometimes you would like to turn this off and we are looking into giving the option to the Free Company leader.

Similarly, once your Free Company reaches a high number of members there may be cases where you chat log gets a bit cluttered with login notifications, so we are planning to add a setting to hide only the login notification for members.

We are looking into these two above adjustments for implementation after patch 2.2.

the notification would be better as a popup that lasts a couple seconds in the corner of the screen (where loot and party notifications are) rather than in the log.

That also filters out things like promotion/demotion, invitation/ousting, and company action announcements. Having the ability to just turn off login/logoff independently is still useful.

Useful, just not important.

Honestly, content needs to be reworked [Coil mostly] if we want big FCs to be effective in the first place.
Having an FC big enough that login/logout spam is annoying is already a bad idea.

I run an FC with 512 members. Thanks for telling me I'm doing it wrong, but I'm going to persist anyway, and welcome any FC management improvements.

Speaking of FC improvements, are there any other changes to FCs scheduled to come in 2.1 or 2.2?
