Why do you need these "white knights" to agree with you. Is their approval all this thread is intended for and will it make you happy.
If you don't like don't play. You don't need to convince others to agree with you or seek approval of your argument by the rest of the community.
You just summed up why 90% of 'general' threads are pointless and forums for games should really only be used for developer/game feedback - with that sole intent.
The problem with "rushers" is this:
Let's say the game has 200 quests: You can't skip 190 of them and complaining about the lack of quests.
The same is true for dungeons: 10 or so dungeons, spreading from level 20 to 50. You can't purposely skip 9 of them and complaining about the lack of dungeons.
And I suppose people are smart enough to understand why content is spread on all levels and not only for endgame: Because not everyone is level 50 one month after launch.
I fear for the next step: 5 fighter classes, only leveling one, and complaining that the game lack combat variation...

^So after reading this thread...
The only people who aren't max level are actively trying to not hit max level, so that they can come post in these threads on the forums saying "I'm not max level! You should take your time and stare at the mountains/sunsets for HOURS!"
Or they just role play.
I don't know what people want us to do. It does get quite annoying to tell us to "Slow down."
So I agree with OP for the most part. As of yesterday, it's been a month since I started this character and kept it.
I'm not even 50. I don't want to level EVERY Craft and EVERY Job because it does not peek my interest.
You can only go so slow and bog down where you get bored. If FATE's didn't kill sub-leveling I wouldn't
be complaining so bad. Just because folk leveld before you did, didn't mean we rushed.
How long are you going to say people "Rushed" the game leveling ain't a steep curve. If you seriously play, you can get 50 in a week.
There is very low content in this game, it just is. Rushing has nothing to do with it.
- Craft and play the market, which you can't because of RMT and stuff and risk being banned.
- Sub-level, which is a pain in the ass because of FATE's.
- Grind 1 or 2 dungeons all day all night till 2.1.
Not much to do. The game has really cool graphics but it's nothing special at all.

I'm not belittling people. I'm telling people to stop excusing people of rushing when there are those of us who are 50 and they did not RUSH. I don't care how long it takes you to level. I could care less. It doesn't determine who you are as a person, or as a player. I do not CARE.
I DO have a problem with the people who tell people that are level 50(and that ARE NOT RUSHING) to "go play something else, you shouldn't have rushed you content locust". They say these things to the people that aren't even content locusts. They accuse ANYONE of being higher level than them a RUSHER. THAT is what I am talking about. Please try to understand this.
Call it what you will, you were torn apart in that thread, trying to defend a completely broken system.
The endgame is this: WP, CM, AK, Praetorium, Coil, and Primals. Its plenty to do. I never said it wasn't. The problem is, you can only run ONE dungeon for Mythology, not to mention HOW few tomes do primals drop? If you stay up to date with your relic quest you have zero incentive to ever repeat the primals after completing them once. WP is a fun dungeon, but people don't like to run it because the reward isn't as high as CM or AK. People don't queue for Praetorium either because CM is the easy cheese dungeon that requires zero skill or thought whatsoever. So, to get to coil, the endgame is grinding CM, or grinding AK. It's incredibly boring and tedious. Thankfully they are adjusting it in 2.1 Which is when I'll come back to play the game.
Ugh, you're one of those guys who determine someones worth as a human-being based on their gear. Well, I'll be glad to explain why I don't have anymore gear. I didn't like the endgame, isn't that apparent? I'll come back when 2.1 hits.
Whining about someone "whining" isn't exactly productive either.

This post rings true on so many levels. Unfortunately fanboys will tell you that you're playing the game wrong, or that you're garbage for not thinking their precious game is 100% perfect. It's truly sickening. Anytime anyone says something even the SLIGHTEST bit negative, they grab their pitchforks and go to town crying. Then call OTHERS whiners. It's sad, and completely detrimental to the longevity of this game. I worry for this games future if Yoshi-P only listens to the fanboys butt-kissing nonsense.

I always wondered about that, does it include other classes? I have plenty of classes that are bellow 41, yet I levelled to 50 ages ago.
It may not be your intent, but it is how you are coming across and nothing breeds negativity like perceived slights and lashing out. For example you have stated more than once now that people must be trying not to level if they aren't hitting 50. But truthfully just as you from your perspective don't understand why people keep telling you that you are rushing, the other side doesn't understand why you keep telling them they must be trying to not level. I don't see either as being entirely true here.I'm not belittling people. I'm telling people to stop excusing people of rushing when there are those of us who are 50 and they did not RUSH. It is hard to see things from another perspective, and forums are notoriously hard to keep civil because it is so easy to misunderstand each other especially when everyone has an agenda or personal grievance. As long as you keep trying to prove you didn't rush, by telling other people they must not be playing right, or are just "white knights" (which is so often used in a derogatory sense), you are going to simply confirm in the eyes of many that you are in denial, or are trolling.
I am sorry there are so many overly defense and aggressive people on in the forums, but while I can understand your point of view, the way you are going about trying to answer those who disagree with you is half the problem, and a large part of the problem with these forums in general. Tone and tact, recognizing the other persons perspective, if only so you can express your own opinion in terms they will understand.
Anyway, don't let the negativity on these boards get you down and try to avoid feeding into it, and I hope when you come back for 2.1 or 2.2 you find it more appealing overall. I for one think there is room for everyone's play style in a game like this, as long as they are willing to be considerate of those whose style is different.![]()
Actually i didn't mix anything up, i was talking about 2nd one you described. If people want to take their time and level 1 job fair enough. You mentioned 2 different types of people and confused them as one.
Someone who says "I want to focus on a single class, and do end game content." Is not a rusher. In fact, that's what A LOT of MMO players do. That doesn't make them rushers.
Someone who says "I want to focus on a single class, get hit to max level as fast as possible, and blow through the endgame content as fast as possible." IS a rusher.
They are 2 completely different types of people. Some people play MMOs for the endgame, that doesn't make you a rusher. Someone who rushes through all the content as fast as humanly possible IS a rusher. They are 2 completely different things.
The thing is this. If your choice of playing style leave you with nothing to do then that is your fault. SE is not to blame.
There are lots of things you could do if your playing style was different.
It is fine to play how you want. I don't think anybody actually has a problem with that.
I think what gets people though is complaining of no content in a game that is full of content.
It is like going into a room full of food and complaining about how there should be more food because you just choose not to eat what is available
So there is no point complaining about lack of content for your choice of play style on the forum because you are choosing not to play all the content.
In reality your choices are this.
Stay subbed and wait patiently for new content you want to do.
Unsubscribe and wait for new content you want to do.
