I've never even done that FATE. I heard it's called Dark Devices, and that its in Northern Thanalan. Never once did a single FATE in Northern Thanalan. I hit 50 in Mor Dhona....so without doing the 100k FATE that pops every HOUR and fates that pop sporadically, you were able to make 6,000 XP per minute? (550000 ish xp to get from 49-50 divided by 90 minutes).
Tell me your secrets.
...otherwise, stop exaggerating just to make a point for your useless rant. I've been playing since Early Access and I got my FIRST CLASS to level 50 this past Saturday. I play every day for at least 3-4 hours. Getting to 50 CAN be fast, but you still have to be pretty vested/focused to get there in the amount of time you're claiming.
I already posted how I hit 49-50 in less than 2 hours. You should try it on your main when you can. It won't work on alts, but it works for your main job. Have fun. You'll see how easy 49-50 was.
So, no exaggerating was done. In fact, I was on vent while doing it, and my friends thought it was pretty funny how fast the level went. They were waiting on me to do WP.
Deciding to play a main job and follow your main/side quests, and do an occassional dungeon can EASILY get someone to 50 in 3-4 hours a day in a couple weeks. In the math I posted with my playtimes throughout the week, that's how I did it. Stop pretending that people are rushing just because they chose to focus on a single job(and want to level their other jobs later when they are tired of their current one)

Lvl 40 leves in Dragonhead give around 7K exp each. Going from 42 to 43 is 350,000.
I don't know what game you're playing, but it sure isn't the same I'm playing.
Quite BIG, thats why everyone and their mommans are playing this game even with ALL the complains.
But to stick with the topic... Welcome to the modern MMOs Dorfentyme. Most MMOs these days are like that.... people get to max level in a few weeks, and ALL of them have grinding fest for items at End Game.
I mostly agree with OP other than the "casual questing" comment. I would consider myself "casual" at this point in my life (have time to play maybe 10-15 hours a week) and I just dinged 50 a couple days ago (on 1 job)...and I was open beta/early access.
You cannot tell me that any single definition of the word casual represents anyone who can get from 0-50 in 1 week of playing, period. Sorry.
Nope..my leves are for DoH. DoL I do to get ingreds for DoH. Plus making many money on excess. Spend alot of time playing the auction too to prepare for my large house. Not a fanboy whatever that is? First FF game I've played. Came from a long line of MMOs....starting with Ultima Online. Just like sandbox and enjoying myself. Yep enjoy real life too...but play the game to escape the stress of real life.If you do leves, gathering is fast. If you don't, its slow. Same with just grinding mobs to level. If you grind mobs, its slow. If you do quests, its extremely fast.
Goodness the fanboys. Don't you understand that its okay to love something/someone and still see the flaws? That's relationship 101 right there.
I used to give a shiat about whiners but then i went back to having fun.
even playing 2-4 hours a day at best, my friend is at the end of coil now.
He must have rushed endgame!
Sadly, people can say "anything" to make it seem like it's the truth :P.
"I got 50 in 1 week!" When I play 4-6 hours a day and I only have 37 ACN (before I stopped to do other classes), and that took me 2 weeks.
Not sure how some of these people do it, when I'm doing the exact same things they are doing. I must be doing something wrong >.<.
Casual questing will not hit 50 in a week. I don't think you know what casual means.
