So what? You are 50 yay. Leveling is the funnest part of the game for me. I'm tired of hearing people say they have nothing to do...Yes you rushed. It's not easy to level to 50 in every class in this game. if it is then you are not enjoying the game you are rushing and or you have too much time on your hands...I work so I only get like 20 hours per week in on the game including weekends...Yep don't spend every hour on teh game rushing to max level...work slow sometimes exploring...making money with my crafting...

And gathering is slow..am about level 38 now and it takes about 3 hours per level...that's fast? In the 30's? Wow the 40's are probably worse. haha...nope slow....but find with me..i love to savor this game...it's a wonderful game.

funny as a Legacy player with an already 50 PLD from 3yrs ago with all other classes leveled up for their abilities, as well as miner lvld up to 21 and blacksmith to 6 (started Armorer in ARR, @23 now). I only just got my first darklight armor a few days ago, working on my 2nd LOL (mind you I been progressing since Open Beta when progress started to get saved). I am taking my time to do things in the game, whats the rush? wheres the fire? People rush things OP, I am 100% sure that brand spanking new fresh accounts rushed from early access/retail launch and are probably at Coil Turn 5 already which is pretty crazy. And then these same people start raging, complaining there is nothing to do at cap. What do you expect? the game has only been out 1 month and 10 days. so yea, some people rushed.....

Yeah, the argument is kinda still there. With so many things to do in this game, if all you are focusing on is 1 character to 50 and do nothing else at all, I see it as trying to get your first 50 as fast as possible. I still don't have my first 50 and Here is my level spread:

    1) Gladiator 15
    2) Pugilist 20
    3) Marauder 15
    4) Lancer 21
    5) Archer 6
    6) Conjurer 26
    7) Thaumaturge 25
    8) Arcanist 37
    9) Fisher 5

    No Crafting leveled atm.

My highest is 37 Arcanist, and personally to me the leveling curve is getting a bit of a strain (for me).

I also don't wanna "rush" the storyline. So I do other things to pass the time.

This is all on a brand new Character ( Moonlight Star). I do have all 50's on a Legacy Character, but I decided it's a new game, so in turn I made a brand new character.

We are past the 1 month mark and I haven't hit 50 yet.

I am a casual player and i am not level 50 yet, so that was the point Again in this thread, i do abit of leveling here and there.
There is never a greater point in getting to level level in a mmorpg anyways, as you just get bored of it fastere or get really angry at other or the game as its to slow for you.
But it is true the game is easy and if i really wanted it i could have been level 50 in many classes by now and farmed dungoens for gear, but in the end it would not have been fun and my life would have been a mess, crap i am rambling since i am getting tried as the old fart i am.

You can level every class in this game exceptionally faster compared to other MMOs. So when people are EASILY hitting the level cap, then upset that the game has a boring endgame, they have every right to be upset. Not everyone plays an MMO just so "sit and stare at the sunsets", because that's what the real world is for.

So people say you are rushing if from day 1 you:

    1. Make a new character
    2. Do your main story quests up to level 50.

How is that rushing? That's PLAYING the game. There's no rushing involved. It's just PLAYING the game. Just because person A didn't feel like LITERALLY stopping to smell the roses or "dip his virtual feet in the water" doesn't mean that he RUSHED through the game. He simply proceeded through the main story that the game guides you through.

Goodness the fanboys. Don't you understand that its okay to love something/someone and still see the flaws? That's relationship 101 right there.

It is actually very true that it is possible to spend a great amount of time in this game without hitting 50. Sure some people focus exclusively on leveling one main class, but not everyone does. I spent at a best guess roughly 35 hours playing in the past week(Yikes that is a lot. I need to cut back clearly), most on the same character.

I ran dungeons a lot, I leveled crafting a little, I did a few quests. End result? 5 crafting classes leveled no more than 10 levels each, 1 Magic class leveled 2 levels, another magic class leveled 4 levels. One gathering class leveled 4 levels. Did I manage to level a single class to 50? No. I know if I had focused on one class I probably could have leveled say Archer from 20 to 30 or so, maybe 40.

So 1 to 50 in a week? Wow. I can't even imagine how much time that would take, 70 hours a week? I don't mean to be argumentative, I simply think you have an unfortunately misguided perspective of what the average much less "casual" players free time to play this game and general investment into the game is.

And that I think is where the rusher argument comes in.

This isn't to say there is anything wrong with that. If you are end-game focused I can certainly understand being frustrated with current limited grind based end-game content, but the fact of the matter is that a game like this has to do its best to cater to the majority of players, while still providing some level of content for the smaller percentage who have the time to focus that intently. If they focused exclusively on those who were end-game content ready quickly no matter what, there wouldn't be enough content for the slower paced majority, nor would they have the needed supplemental classes such as crafting and gathering which help sustain a long term economy.

So truthfully, I don't disapprove of your play style, but it is definitely going to be the one that has the hardest time this early on in game cycle just because developers have to focus on the overall content and environment suitable for gaining and sustaining a much larger player base in order to offset investment costs.

Not "white knighting" not name calling, and I am truly sorry this game is in a hard place for your preferred play style right now, but the fact of the matter is that yes, a month into the game, you are still in the minority here. My guess is it will be another 2 weeks before a large minority of players are end-game, a month for a small majority, maybe even 2. Hope you can find ways to enjoy the game in between your current end-game grind.

Personally I find it is quite satisfying to keep re-running the lower level dungeons I have long since mastered especially with new players, and can spend hours doing just that. My expectation is I will be alternating end-game dungeons with low level story and non-story dungeons, and trying out the other jobs at least until 2.1 comes out.
