So first I leveled my PLD to 50, got some DL, my Relic weapon and finally a Valor Surcoat recently.

Then I decided to level DRG. Got to 50 three days ago, started my relic quest and did Chimera 2 days ago. Then came last night. In the span of 5 hours I shouted for a party for Hydra in Ul'dah, joined random DF for Ifrit and Garuda HM, then shouted for a party for Titan HM, succeeding at all fights. My first Ifrit party disbanded due to a leaver after one wipe, but the next party had no issues. My Garuda party failed twice but succeeded third attempt after we gave the Off tank and healers some tips.

My Titan party consisted of: PLD, DRGx2 (one me), BRDx2, BLM, WHM, SCH. We had two or three players (one was the WHM) that had never done the fight before. We wiped probably 4 or 5 times, each time those of us who had succeeded before gave advice. On the 6th attempt it was clear to me that we wouldn't be able to succeed with our current healing. So we exited and the SCH switched to WHM. With the extra Medica, we succeeded on the second try after changing.

I was pretty happy to have done all 3 HM primals and Hydra in the span of 5 hours. Thought it might even be a record. Though I'm sure it's possible that there are some FCs out there that have ran members through in less time, I was quite surprised and impressed I managed all of them with PUGs.

Moral of the story:
Even if a party looks hopeless and can't succeed, put a little effort into communicating with your group and teaching those that are struggling instead of quitting and being a jerk. It will get you much farther and will make you feel that much better when you succeed.

EDIT: Of curious note, our Hydra party was: PLDx2, WAR, WHMx2, DRGx2, BLM Having the three tanks to mitigate Triumverate was quite good, and the WAR was able to help with the Wyvern add.
