I don't think you understood my point. You said "It feels too easy people already got their relic weapons." I pointed out by now no matter what mmo it is people would have their relic weapons. It's been a month. Everquest is considered one of the slowest games to level in being an older school mmo. On average it took 240 hours to get to max level. 240 hours at 16 hours a day is 15 days (unless my math is off.) That would mean they'd have 15 more days playing at that time to raid. By now on any mmo people would be getting their end game gear.
Here let me pull up some history. SOE released "legacy" servers for EQ. These servers would start with no expansions. It was the vanilla game but once people beat the end content the expansion will be unlocked etc. Within 2 weeks Kunark was unlocked. A lot of people were excited for these servers to experience EQ in it's vanilla days but it was short lived. Within a month the servers were almost caught up with the official servers.
To use the argument "People are already in end game gear a month later thus game is too easy." is not a valid argument. So far no one has beaten turn 5 coil. This is huge. In most mmo's these days the big raid is finished within a week of people hitting end game. This isn't the case here. Have you tried Titan yet? There's some tough fights here. The leveling process is pretty quick but no one wants long leveling processes anymore. If a game took me 16 hours a day to hit max level in 15 days? I wouldn't play.
Wanted to add death in EQ was more punishing than on FFXI. It didn't matter on the progression servers.
