Why are these forums full of complaints and negativity?

I cannot go into a thread or read a thread title without someone nagging or complaining about the game and talking about how "horrible" it is.
I usually like frequenting the forums of the game I'm currently playing but everyone here just cannot enjoy the game and all they do is whine and it puts me off.

why can't everyone just be happy and enjoy playing this game for now, there are obviously some things that still need to be worked on, but it'll smooth out eventually.

The forums for me are like a bad habit. I've had a lot of really negative experiences on Duty Finder and needed a place to vent and I kind of got drawn into the endless negativity here.

It's ok to complain about legit issues but nowadays they're complaining about how other people play the game despite it's not against the ToS such as people who's forming a party of people who has full DL gears and/or relic weapon.

Because the forums is one of the few ways people can actually communicate with SE.

Think about this this way.

Bots, Hackers still around even been reported for weeks ago.
Missing gil due to the blanket sweep, no offical statement.
DF is like taking a dive into shark infested waters, ppl still complain even they knew before hand.
People with different views of the game, with added White Knights, which make any negative views turn into all out flame wars.

This game have problems. Been negative on the outlook is OK. It makes us know about the problems still exist. Sweeping it under the carpet in not OK.

Because people who are dissatisfied are more likely to be vocal about it. Also, there are valid complaints on forums. AOE lag not being fixed, innocent players being robbed of playtime they paid for, robbed of gil, being called a cheater by the company they pay, and various other complaints stemming from FFXIV Devs horrible customer service and lack of communication.

That's true, didn't think about that. The majority of the playerbase probably doesn't even use these forums.
