So we're a month into this game's launch and gil sellers and bots have reached an all-time high. RMT shouts run rampant in major cities, bots have completely locked down the ability to obtain fleece, and the market is nearing a full crash.

I try to be a good guy and report shouters when I can, and SE seems appreciative enough to send me a stock response thanking for for my time. I want to say I've sent in 30 or 40 of these reports to help combat RMT shouting. But the fact that I even have to do so (by my own volition) this frequently with the current systems in place is ludicrous. There won't be a right-click-blist option until 2.1, nor will there ever be a right-click-report. And by the time 2.1 drops, the RMTs and their grip on the market will have multiplied tenfold. We need it now.

But what I don't understand is why we, the players, are expected to take a huge role of reporting these bots in a subscription-based game. A monthly fee should theoretically include a higher level of customer service and gold seller protection. Instead, it seems to be a practice of "wait until someone reports it first and send a GM in." The task force in a game that entails continuous payment should be on top of this without the need for player vigilantes.

The RMTs are multiplying, and reporting them is becoming increasingly useless. They are going to keep coming back until major prevention methods are put into place. Until then, I'm just gonna turn /shout off and maybe someone else will be nice enough to be the volunteer fire department. I'll be off in the corner trying to sell lumber for a pittance.
