I have skipped cutscenes, and I regret it. Especially on first runs.

Healing is great so far. I had a tank apologize for being undergreared and inexperienced at the start of toto rak, and I couldn't keep him up on the last boss - but I survived as the healer and tank on the last boss... so who needs those prima donna tanks?!?

Unfortunately, tanks also exercise the same amount of power, especially in later dungeons. I would hesitate before actually telling the other party, "let me watch my cutscene or gtfo" as that is the same as your tank saying "skip the cutscene or gtfo". Both burn bridges, and I'd hate to be caught between 2 equally stubborn players over something as stupid as watching a cutscene.

On a personal note, I agree that if a person is playing a dungeon for the first time, let them watch the cutscene though.

I'm on PS3, too, but you really need to use a keyboard to communicate. It's going to be vital later. I just did an 8 man fight for the story last night and it was important for the WHMs to communicate who was going to be responsible for whom. When you're coordinating strategy you need to be able to communicate quickly.

To get back to the thread, though, I always watch the CSs my first time through. If someone has a problem with it, they can put together their own group.

The problem with this is that a DPS character should be just as entitled to watch the cutscenes as a healer is. That should just be common courtesy for anyone, regardless of the role they have.

No, I understand. My main class is DPS (THM) as well. But I obviously play more dungeons as an ACN, for collecting gear... and currently diremite webs*(I hate them) in Toto-rak. So, since I can't literally stand this type of people, I felt like inventing some vendetta. Still it wouldn't be fair, because it would damage the other players as well.

At the end I was just ranting, I just can't stand the bossy attitude from some idiots.

PS: about the keyboard, I wouldn't even have the place for it in my setup. Does the attachable keyboard for the controller work fine?

I plan always to ask at the start if anyone has special needs either for speed or for wanting to watch, i can do either as the Tank and am willing my main message for any dungeon group is "lets all play nice" and be kind and courteous, help each other and have a nice time. Keep the healer alive and me next..i can come back asap and will as long as anyone wants to keep going and I always will do my best and am happy to accept any advice and help from anyone else too. We are in this together so lets do our best and have fun."

I plan to do dungeons for others each time i play at least two or three times to help speed up the lines. ...as both a Tank and a Healer and also I hang out at tough spots for quests to help others and to train further as Tank. Nice to learn on the job and help others too.

I don't use Stone but I do find myself using Water to get a rid of enemies for the reasons you explained later. ^_^

Yeah. I'll see about it then. Does it interface well with FF XIV? Only to get in writing mode I spend 3 seconds messing up with buttons.

I suggested the arc because it really is tiny. About half the size of a regular keyboard. She puts it in her lap and used it to talk. If your laptop is in your lap the arc can be tossed onto the ground when you need the laptop. Seems like your thighs would get pretty warm having a laptop resting on it for extended periods of time though.
