    MNK in Titan HM. Tips?

Hi there fellow monks of Eorzea, I am starting to learn the Titan HM fight a little, in DF, since I don't feel experienced enough to join PUGs yet.

I was wondering if there's any more experienced monk out there to suggest some good rotations to use (i watched a video on youtube suggesting to use only side abilities) and techniques/positions to better evade Titan attacks; consider I have quite an issue with latency.

    Thank you in advance.

I pretty much only used Flank rotation, with some dots thrown in. Back side is a bit risky, since lots of healers stand at the back and get targeted by landslide often.
At heart phase, you might want to move to the back though, I found that it was easier to land attacks on the heart from there then flank.
During the AOE attack, pop Mantra so that everyone is healed up faster, and switch to Fist of Earth, since the Tumult hit harder and harder, and avoid using Blood for Blood if you have it, since you might get killed by the Tumults.

This reddit thread might have info for you, so do check it out.

    Thank you.

From the video I notice that he avoids plumes by going under Titan. Is this always recommended?

Only if you know that he isn't going to mountain buster right after, pretty safe to go under otherwise. I know someone on the forum has a pic of the Titan rotation...

yeah I got the image. It should be safe then, since the MB is never after Plumes in P5. In fact he goes:
    MB > Stomp > Plumes > Bombs > Landslide > MB > Plumes > Rock > Landslide > REPEAT

...maybe just be careful if you're targeted with Rock ability and quickly move away from him, on second Plumes of his rotation.

Mountain Buster never follows Weight of the Land. It's always after a Landslide.

Also put Fist of Earth on when he uses Tumult or Geocrush to reduce damage. Fist of Fire the rest of the time. I haven't had trouble running out of his AOE but if you have latency issue, Fist of Wind might be beneficial during Weight of the Land. I'm not that experienced with Titan since I only felt confident enough to face him last weekend but killed him twice, one for my relic, another for 2 guys in my FC.

The last variation doesn't appear till last phase, i believe, and can be avoid at max flank range if you choose to stay in flank. Though your healers will have to be on the ball, or you move in after stomps for aoe heal.
Hmm I would have to watch the video of my run last night when I get home then. I do notice that healer and ranged DPS tend to get into more weight of the land than I did.

I don't believe there are that many weight of the land variations, but here's the main ones i remember

    1: back row parallel
2: line middle left (cut right of titan)
3: line middle right (cut left of titan)
4: All middle (with a budge in the middle) you can choose to max flank and pull out, or pull out diagonal.

There's probably a few more for the range folks, but that's usually all melees have to worry about. Combating lag is no small feat in titan unfortunely, so it's not badto at least know where you pull out before hand.

Weight of the Land is the one that spawns under the players' feet. I'm really not sure what you're talking about, but I suspect you're thinking of bombs. . .
