iLv70 (Can be resold?!) - BUG or INTENDED?

From my experience I was under the impression that all gear was bound once used in combat, but I have heard multiple reports that it is in fact NOT BINDING!!.

If this is true using the ILV70 crafted gear with melds for VIT/STATS would be so much superior to Darklight.

I would much rather put my stones to something I could resell later.

Can anyone tell me if this is a bug or intended?

It only binds once you use it in coils.

Oh~ is that because outside lv50 mobs only don't give any experience points?

Still kind of a dissapointment if you cant use it in coils.

It's itemlevel 70. Level 50 monsters do not give spiritbonding EXP to it. As others have said once you step foot in coil and kill something all of it will bind/spiritbond. My assumption for reasoning of this is to limit influx of high teired materia.

Thank you all! At least now i know it's safe to purchase and use these items for titan/primal fights without any issues.
I'll be sticking to one class for coil to begin with so Darklight/AF2 will be fine for that.
