Songstress from FFX-2 as new healing class? #PleaseFF

I'm not gonna try too hard to explain this, but right now there are only 2 healing classes and both tbh are efficient but terribly boring.
Thats why I would pay a million dollars to see the new Healer class, to be a Songstress!!!

Imagine having a Stance/Song for different situations?
Regen requiems that help hp over time while increasing Defence and Magic resist stat?
Songs that increase Health of your team for a certain period of time?
Songs that increase TP pools?
Even offense would be amazing being able to constant Aoe Blind foes around you or slow foes around you constantly as well!
Offering Determination debuffs while granting your teammates an increase in theirs?

Sure Songstress follows a similar path as bards, but imagine how jazzy it would be to sing your teammates to victory???
Not to mention how AWESOME The gear would look!

Conceptually, I understand you want a full support class that buffs and heals. However, the songstress uses the same concept of battlesong as bard, which is actually a major point against the job. The bard class quests already explores the power of song as a way of invigorating others. You give no reason why the bard cannot use any of those songs, and conceptually it sounds like the same class with a new name and meant only for female avatars. I think you really need to work to differentiate the songstress from the bard for this proposed class to really catch the player's attention. It is not enough to just have a gimmick that is already being pursued by an existing job. Bards already sing their parties to victory and are considered really quite good at it.

Mechanically, I do not see how this concept is a healing class. Your concept as is is undoubtedly support, but it does not meet any of the requirements for an aoe heal, burst heal, or debuff removal players would need from a healer; nor does it offer an interesting mechanic for it. Party-wide healing and party regen through songs is okay, but it essentially means your songstress is sitting in the middle of the arena cycling through buttons 1, 2, and 3. You could probably write a macro for most fights and it becomes a 1 button class. I just do not see how it is more interesting than whm or sch.

Maybe if SE decide to do Advanced job, I could see Songtress being an Advanced job from BRD and WHM (Like RDM could be an Advanced job from BLM and WHM) Songstress would be an Healing job / Support.

True, that might work. Yoshi-P did mention an idea of red mage following that route using BLM and WHM jobs as a requirement instead of classes. For lack of a better word for it, these "advanced jobs" are likely to be released when they raise the level cap. The job quests have more or less wrapped up nicely by level 50, so it's hard to imagine them continuing further in the story for the jobs. It makes more sense S-E will send us to another job npc to level past 50. I just don't see any revolution on the healing system like that, although it will add buff maintenance to WHM and heals to BRD.

I'd rather BRD get this stuff, but for the sake of what's missing for Songstress to be a healer, give 'er some heals. Not to into Songstress so much as I am a more unisex role (bard not barcher)
-Euphoric Crescendo: Heals target based on the number of Songstress HoTs currently applied (would be the big burst)
-Saving Song: Removes a debuff from the target
-Mending Minuet: Heals all allies in range and gives them four seconds of a damage mitigation buff

At this rate, if they added another healing class, Dancer is probably more likely. (Maybe as a martial-themed healer?)
