FFXIV:ARR HUD flashes when Pop Peeper notifies me

This worries me about FFXIV:ARR being able to cooperate with other programs on the Windows PC. I have a program called Pop Peeper that notifies me when I have an e-mail and when it does notify me while FFXIV:ARR is running, the HUD for FFXIV:ARR will start flashing and will not stop till I exit Pop Peeper. In addition to having to exit Pop Peeper, if exit while the HUD is gone, it stays that way till I restart FFXIV:ARR client.

Frequency: Every time
World name: Hyperion
Character name: Azure Xanh
Class/Level: 50 everything
Party or solo: Both
In-game time: All the time
Area and coordinates: Everywhere
Steps:
1. Start FFXIV:ARR Client
2. Pop Peeper notifies I have an e-mail
3. FFXIV:ARR HUD starts flashing
4. Will not stop till I exit Pop Peeper and if exit while hud is gone, it stays that way till I restart client.
