one of the biggest problem of this game is lackluster of everything
gears, weapons, mobs, magics, skills everything look so generic

As long as they come up with a more FF style name than epic.

I dunno about that. Monsters dont look generic in the least bit. As far as armor and weapon goes...well they arent really generic looking, just needs more variety in various colors/for the team to make use of how flexible their armor design system is. For more examples, look at Akihiko Yoshida's art on past games like Final Fantasy Tactics series, Final Fantasy 4 heroes of light, and Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
Yeah, "epic" has lost its meaning for the past decade. This is generic

Protip: Both are the same design: Simplistic.
A nomura-ized version of amano character design does not = epic. Nomura = belts, zippers, asymmetry and Amano = BEADS EVERYWHERE, lipstick, at least 100 colors per outfit. Akihiko Yoshida is probably one of SE's better artists. Armor looks generic in XIV because they just reuse the same models over and over. This is generic

Nope. There are plenty of other end game things you can have other than WoW's gear grind. Private Company progression could be one and every time you progress it adds nifty stuff to your company HQ. Sociopolitical aspects could be added where companies compete for sovereignty over unruled regions. Real exploration. What else do you propose we do for end game, sit around and pick our noses? End-game content in every RPG (nevermind just MMOs) is based around gear grinding. People don't do hard content if it's not going to reward them. Hence why it was a pain in the arse to get anyone to do CoP in XI.

Either way i don't see how this is a valid argument.Sociopolitical aspects could be added where companies compete for sovereignty over unruled regions. Real exploration.
So instead of having gear grind you want decoration grind for your companie's HQ? somehow i don't feel this is as rewarding... well whatever floats your boat. There are plenty of other end game things you can have other than WoW's gear grind.
