FFXIV does not respect primary game controller settings

    Steps:
    1. Connect two gamepads, one after another. In my case the first controller conncted was a Razer Nostromo (controller 1), followed by a xbox 360 wireless controller (controller 2).
    2. In windows gamepad settings, choose the controller that was not set as primary (controller 2), and choose to set it as the primary controller.
    3. Start FFXIV. Note that the game will not respond to controller 2 even though it is set as primary. It will only respond to input from controller 1. Only after controller 1 is unplugged will FFXIV recognize input from controller 2.

I was under the impression that Xbox 360 wireless controllers do not work with PCs due to the fact that they communicate to the Xbox wirelessly and the only thing that the cable you plug into it does is charges the battery and has no issues with transfer of any data. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

So, apparently there are controller officially for PC that come with a connecting device to use wireless controllers. Goes to show how long its been since I've looked into using a wireless Xbox controller on PC. I can only assume that is the thing your using. As such, my knowledge can not assist in this issue. Sorry!
