Abour SCH Relic weapon

As title says, I need help regarding this.

I am nearing level 50 and to the end of the main campaign, and I have been reading here and there about the relic weapon, but I am not sure what is needed exactly.

I have seen Erudite's Picatrix of healing in the marketplace, regular quality and the high quality one.

Does it make a difference if I purchase a high quality one with the melded materia onto them?

Worth investing about 140k for one of them?

What exactly is needed besides starting the questline for it?

You don't need a HQ version. You just need one with a pair of quicktounge materia 3 affixed into it.

If you want to buy one with the materia in it already, or buy the materia separate and find an alchemest to put them in for you is up to you. Do what's cheaper.

Or you could try your luck spiritbonding and converting lvl45+ jewelry for the materias. I usually had good results from turquoise/tourmaline.

If you enjoy dungeons, you can also regularly nab drops from Dzemael Darkhold and Aurum Vale and spiritbind them for a shot at Quicktongue III materia as you level. Not to mention, you'll have a nice supply of Tomestones stashed for gear as soon as you hit 50.

I see, thanks for your replies.

I guess I'll buy an average book with the melded materia on it...Im somewhat of not trusting someone right away to meld them for me x_X. But I'll try asking some alchemists around what are their costs and how they do it.

Don't worry too much about trusting them. If you right click them and request the meld they cannot take your stuff from it.

Make sure you already finished the quest at Mutamix where they teach you how to convert stuffs into materia. Or else you wont find the "Request Meld" option when right clicking the alchemist. There was some of my customers that haven't took this quest, so we had to use traditional trade with risk of the alchemist stole all your stuffs.
