There is no free month or trial month for this game. Those of us who pre-registered got a few extra days for free, but that's it. There's a month that you pay for with the cost of buying the game, and there are other months that you pay for seperately, but every month has to be paid for.

The veterans rewards, though, start at 30 days. If you continue your subscription beyond 30 days, you get the 30 day reward. Once you continue it beyond 60 days you get the 60 day reward. There is no 0 day veteran reward that you can get as soon as you buy the game because you aren't a "veteran" yet at that point.

It actually would make more sense based on actual time (which I think was the original idea) rather than paid-up time. After you've played for 30 days, you get the 30 day reward for use starting day 31. After you've played for 60 days, you get the 60 day reward for use starting day 61. By giving us veterans rewards early, as soon as the subscription is paid for, they're essentially saying "even though you haven't played beyond 60 days yet, we'll give you the reward for being past that 60 days if you've paid for more than 60 days."
