From observing, I feel like BLM or BRD. Ironically enough, they both seem to be pretty well represented.

Please do not play an Arcanist. Arcanists are not an easy class to play AT ALL. I still see terrible Summoners running around (even the forum ones give you incorrect info) although I've seen better Scholars than most though (seems to be the good side of the Arcanist tree) but even then healing is not an easy job so don't play an Arcanist to roll Scholar.
Don't play a Bard either. While on paper it looks to do a lot of damage and simple to play, it's not the DPS that's the difficult part of the class, it's the songs. Knowing exactly when, where and how to play them is crucial to the class and if you plan on doing 100% DPS then this is not the class for you. Play an Archer, pick up the ridiculous cross-class skills but don't progress to the Bard.
Bard is definetly the way to go if your lazy, except if you plan on doing Coil Turn2, we're on interrupt duty, and if you screw up you wipe :P
Archer/Bard, obviously. You can still attack while mobile and you are literally out of harm's way unless the boss has an unavoidable AoE attack that hits everyone. You can't do that as a THM/BLM from what I've seen. While you are out of harm's way, if for any reason you have to move, you have to interrupt your cast and move out the way then start the cast all over again and that lowers your overall DPS.
It gets slightly more complicated when you have to monitor your WHM's MP for Mage's Ballad and other miscellaneous things that Song's do, but only slightly.
DRG or BLM, their only thing they have to do in party is dps.
People qqing about bard being easy never play bard pass chimera or coil (look at their best character using AF1 armour, which mean they didnt even touch end game). They think that there is a magical macro that auto silence when every boss going to cast spell that wipe your party. Bard hold of the most important role in raid after tank and healer.

Bard for the lazy yeah and monk for the insane dps if you master the class (no, bards wont do more dmg even with 100 % uptime while moving)
dragoons a really easy. they are dumbed down to the point the game even lights up what button you should hit next.
Bardtards without a doubt. That's why all the kids play them. They stand at range, can DPS on the move with 5 buttons, don't have a complicated rotation like Dragoons/SMN (nor do they have to worry about positional requirements).
They spam 5 buttons from relative safety the entire fight until someone yells at them to pop MB.
You'll get a group easy because of MB, and because it's impossible to screw up playing a Bard unlike the big-boy classes, but likely have to compete with at LEAST 3 other Bards for gear, so just beware of that.

. BRD is by far the easiest, BLM is 2nd easiest, a distant second though. I have 50 monk, 50 blm, 48 bard.
