Also, was in a group where the WAR main tank went down and ragequit. I could just see how this was going to play out now. Sure enough, the PLD solo tanked and stunned Ifrit like a boss, and we won. No prizes for guessing what weapon dropped...

On the whole rage quit crap.... just got a hydra group... healer was new as was I, he got caught in the aoe when they hydra charged him .... you guess it 3/4 of them rage quit the group.. lol

This game is full of jerk off's.... then again what game isnt.

Ifrit HM is the first primal you do when you hit 50, all you need is people who know how to play their role and also for those people to be honest and tell everyone that they don't know something.

You don't need gear check for Ifrit HM.

You don't need GC weapons for Ifrit HM, any fresh 50 can beat this fight... Ifrit is incredibly easy, even with 1 tank and no blm/smn, the strategy just changes.

With a PLD tank, you really don't need an offtank for stuns, I've held aggro the entire fight and interrupted every Eruption, just learn his rotation and anticipate them so you don't get caught by your GCD.

With a BLM/SMN, it's super easy because you can use lb3 on the nails, without one, just use lb3 to immidiately kill one, then have dps focus 2, 3, and 4, and have dps use LB2 on the last one.

Try finding a healer of a tank friend to queue with. It makes the wait time a LOT more bearable.

Just buy a crafted weapon from the market, it's better than Ifrit weapon.

First calm down I know its tough....I ran Ifrit from 6am to 8 pm straight 2 mondays ago...made me sick to
my stomach...I must of ran it with oh so many groups and tons of runs...at around 8pm a bow drops for me...
then we run it again and a bow drops for my buddy back to back.....hang in there dont give up...i even got
ifrits horn in this farm run....keep trying GLLLLLL

Pick JP only in DF, usually they're quite good (also because their may have less lag than us).
And for drop rate...well it's been discussed 1000 times, GC / craft ilv 70 weapon is your alternative.
And if you want to collect the weapon, you can always do it occasionally in the future, it's not like this BOSS fight will be removed or something.
