Sorry to hear that, I played 1.0 myself and had no issues and still have no issues outside of my bases internet itself. I'm curious to why it effects certain people and not others though. Am I saying there's no issue? No I'm just curious to why certain people are effected and others are not while playing on the same data center/servers. I always tend to assume that a small portion could be attributed to the users issues.

I believe this has been brought up on other forums and most (not all) those affected were NA players on a small range of ISPs (notably Comcast) if seems they think ffxiv is some kind of P2P programme. JP had the same problem in beta.

I believe Sweden is affected too. UK here. No issues.

I try to mention things to check to see if maybe those are things that could be wrong on your end and you get snippy Never did I say I their servers were perfect, I know very well they're a far cry from perfect as they go down easier than the titanic. But to say "everyone" is having said issues is again over the top. Not everyone uses the forums as a main way to converse about the game unless it's something like the log in issue that 23k+ people had and they only used it to post that issue and went back to their main site they use and even then others still didn't use it even when they had the issue.

It's not just Comcast... I have Time Warner and had similar problems during peak times (California)

Well, you know what? Say that is my ISP fault is over the top, since my ISP is fine. I told you already I have try everything, I play other MORPG just fine. I don't have comcast I think, Im in Italy, not even sure what comcast is. I'm asking at SE a solution, not surely want kill them. Also saying game is playable when you had no lag spikes at all, is oevr the top as well. Again hope you wont get any. I don't care if my ping is 300 or 10, I just want play without spike lags.

I work tech support and I truly hate when people give this type of information, deadset on knowing where the problem lies.

Ping tells you the reliability of a connection. That is all. It does not tell you were a connections problems are occurring. For that you need to run traceroutes.

There is a lot of things between your computer and the ip address you want to connect to. Running the trace will check every hop along the way to help narrow down where any abnormal increase in latency is coming from. It may be you, it may be square, it may be your isp, it may be another isp. Without a trace you will never know.

    Command for windows is tracert

Check your isp then check their stance on p2p as if that is the case on what's going on your ISP might be apart of some Anti p2p/piracy thing. Should SE try and fix it so internet companies will stop flagging it as a p2p application? Yes they should. I use AU for my phone service which I use most of the time to play and its withing the 270-300 range 95% of the time. The 5% is when it would randomly drop LTE and go to 3G. If I'm up late at night playing I'll switch over to my normal internet that is the one ISP for my base and get around 230-240 ms and from 1am-10am on weekends when people are asleep I can play fine after that I get lag because it starts creeping to the 670+ til about 11pm when it finally starts to lower again. Will knowing if your ISP is adamant about stamping out p2p applications and people using them help you with your issue? Doubt it but it's always goo to know your ISP's stance on things like that.

If it reliably happens to you in the evening, every evening at the same time, the problem is more than likely with your ISP.
You may be getting throttled for being over a certain download limit, or others in the area also on your ISP begin heavy use which affects everyone.
Lastly, you may have people in your home downloading heavily in that time, or even people jacking wireless from you, so check your security. Perhaps you yourself have a torrent program running, or even your AV program doing it.

There are quite a few things you can check before going to the forums and screaming murder at SE demanding they should fix it for you.
Because its happening at a certain time, with regularity, you cant blame SE alone for it, otherwise everyone on your server would report it at the same time.

The question is, I always played till weeks ago without ANY problem, why the ISP turn NOW to block ragnarok host server thinking is a p2p? Why now and not since 1.0 or arr started?
Why I'm online now without a single spike lag (ok I'm not in any instance, just farming formic acid and crafting)?

    6) PPL in my servers didn't report maybe, but they said it clear during runs here and there, having spike lags same as me, one of this is a friend in LS.
    Is enough for you?

    EDIT:
In case you curious the only thing I have open is Opera, skype, antivirus (Kaspersky) and cFosSpeed which I had before too when game was working. Turned off Opera, it does same. Also, is not happening at same time, could happen at 18:xx gmt+1 or could start at 21:xx. It mostly calm down on late night.
