    Makes me think that the restrictions on trading were part of Square's plan to keep crafters busy. Currently, you need crafters to either recycle the item (repair to 100%), or to replace the item.
    A "bind on equip" system is the most elegant solution to this problem. It puts equipment on the same level as consumables (almost). It might be unrealistic, but...[insert signature here].

    EDIT: But now that I think about it, not letting people trade damaged equipment is pretty freaking unrealistic too.
