Entirely agreed. At the very least they should be sellable/tradeable at 75% condition, i-e the level at which NPC repairs damaged items.

That really isn't the main idea of his post.. Yes, i agree that you can easily get repairs in town, but that doesn't really guarantee a repair.. and it also costs to have it repaired..
The main problem that the OP pointed out is that we should be able to trade the damaged item to someone else.
Needing gear and weapons at 100% in order to trade is stupid.
OP met someone and tried to share his wand with them on a whim so they could play together. He shouldn't have to hunt down someone to fix the wand.
i hate it because its pain trying get thing repaired that after my gladiator is 50 im leveling my blacksmith to 50 that way can at least fix my weapon also need ask what rank blacksmith have be fix a rank 40 weapon?
rank 40 weapon requires 30 minimum, but id suggest 35 to make it so you dont fail the repair a bunch

So if you want to trade that damaged weapon, you'd better rank a Crafting Class to 30, or find a rank 30 crafter to fix it for you before you can trade it!?
How ridiculous does this sound to you? Really?
I'd rather like to be able to just say "here you go." /trade.
its rather easy to find that crafter to repair it though thats the thing
if it was really hard to find...i can see it being a problem, but its NOT

Ive had a similiar scenerio happen to me when last year some time. I was pissed off i couldnt get a newb wand from someone cuz it wasn't 100%.
I think its some shoddy coding that would have items auto-repaired to 100% if traded, so they prevent it from happening period.
