My account got hacked ~~Conspiracy??

So my account was hacked. The person deleted my lvl 50 Monk on Exodus server and made a lvl 2 character...looks like the name was a faceroll on the keyboard name.

My therory: Enix lost out on a lot of money for the lack luster launch of this game. They now need a way to make up for it. They take over accounts and make it look like it was hacked. This causes panic and makes most people buy the security token. 9-10 bucks a pop....bam maken money again.

Hopefully this really is not the case. The above in my personal opinion and is in no way a accusation about the Square Enix company or their affiliates.

Let me ask you a question. Do you use your login/password combination elsewhere?

If answer is yes, its your fault. Many of forums/websites gots hacked, and they will don't tell you about it (often because they don't know about it). The mail/login/password combination data are really cheap article on black market.

No I do not use my game ID/password anywhere else.

I don't see how it was mostly my own fault. Little history on my Brand new tower.........This game, Smite and League are the only games I have installed. I do not use this Computer to browse anything except for the Game official web sites. I don't click on links posted by anyone. So tell me how this is mostly my fault. There is no way someone got on my machine to get my info to hack my account.

They have a free version of the token on both Apple and Droid app stores so I highly doubt this would be their plan to make money....

Yes they do have a free app with them. they also sell a keychain version for 10.99. But like I said above: this is my opinion. Until proven otherwise; I like it.

League got hacked in August. Most likely they pulled the id and password you use on both sites to gain access.

They also got stored credit card information from them so I suggest checking your balance as people have had money stolen directly from their accounts.
