It might also be the model and/or age of your system. Before my previous system got stolen -_- I had to do a complete wipe of the system because I couldn't even install the non-beta version of the game without it freezing. After I got a newer model I had no problems with the actual playing of the game. I've only had one 90k disconnection and relatively little lag. Keep in mind I was wired in.
