Duty Finder - It is not Gospel!

I don't know where this mentality came from, but fights were not designed around the duty finder.

I don't understand all the people complaining about fighting being harder with the groups compromised from Duty Finder.

The Duty Finder is a completely separate tool designed to give more casual players easier access to group content.

This does not mean that every fight in the game is designed for 2 tanks, 2 heals, and 4 dps. This is simply the setup that has the highest chance at victory with RANDOM people.

People need to look at the DF as more of an introduction to dungeons/raiding. If you want a better experience, this will ALWAYS come from a group formed on your own server.

That's only because the Duty Finder was half-implemented.

I enjoy systems that I can just tag in and go while I do other things. I dislike shouting in town and I despise sitting in town waiting for shouts.

Two of the issues with duty finder right now is that it doesn't care if you're in level 1 gear (I had a whm heal AK in a bikini...), and it doesn't make any attempt to balance a group based on the content.

Fixing those would be progress into more reliable duty finder groups.

With any game content, if you make something accessible by a feature you design for the game (Ie. 4-man DF or the 24-man LFR style DF), you need to design that content around people using that system as the prime way of accessing and/or completing that content.

So yes, the Duty Finder is "gospel". Whether you, I, or even Square likes it or not; If a dungeon is accessible by a Duty Finder, it must be tuned to a level that can be beaten consistently by the group* built by the Duty Finder tool and therefore, it is "gospel"

*This is of course taking into account that people should be in level appropriate gear and have a basic understand of their class.
