Gathering leves, another options

I have indeed very slow progress with gatherers compare to other classes. I have 90 sp from grade 4 with rank 33/34 gatherer. + Running all around searching for mining points, it makes even harder. + when yellow fatigue comes in = meh, at the rate. Its harder to find grades5 without agro monsters in way + there is lack of skills at these ranks.

I think fieldcraft leves should be giving more SP than normal logging point even without guardian's favor.
Just double SP without guardians favor for fieldcraft leves for normal logs ?

So with the favor on, SP should be even higher. But thats only boost in 36 hours.

example :
normal chop : 90 SP
chop in leve without guardian favor : 180 SP

+ more quests in common for gathering, which would benefit SP some way (more attempts to gather) and so on. Would be also nice.

i agree. Ranking up botany is really difficult at 36. On the other hand the difficulty makes it a lot harder for people to -bot- the job to 50 like most fishers do. So it does have some upsides. Yes its hard but also if you get to the top you will be one of the few up there.

There are like a ton of levequests just town jump to do them all. But ya Should add more per town. I think we need more crafting and gathering levequests. I was trying to level up my goldsmithing vuia levequests and only found 1 per city....

you're only finding one per city because you are a low level...
I get about 4-5 carpenter leves per reset.
Go to ul'dah and you will prob get more than one

Your disclaimer likely will not shield you. Might help if you spelled purpose correctly if it's going to be at the end of every single post.

There are no more than 2 gather quests per rank at 20-30-40. My Botanist is rank 31 currently, the rank 30 leves I get barely put a dent in my SP to next rank even if I squander my Guardian Aspect on all of them. You need to hit a bare minimum of 35 before rank 40 leves are offered to you.

By the time you hit rank 40 the SP per leve is fairly low again, there are currently no nodes above rank 5 so you have to very slowly grind out on the leves and the random rank 5 nodes you encounter. Many of these nodes are far from being safe to harvest from, which is why you'll see the majority of your high end gatherer's living around Camp Iron Lake.

I really wish they would add rank 50 leves as well as some gathering quests in the future, but I know that will have to wait til the battle changes and other more important aspects are touched on. Hopefully the DoH and DoL jobs won't be left out in the cold.

You need to stop taking things personally.
There is usually only 1-2 leves of the same rank per reset.
So if you are a higher level you will be getting a rank 10 leve, a rank 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 etc.
For example today for carpenter i believe i have 30 35 35 40 45 or something similar

So my point is as you level the craft up you will have more leves available for that craft each reset. Personally i have all my crafts 20+ so i have -plenty- to choose from.

No i'm not taking what ya said to personally. Just find it anusing that ppl choose not to read a few things.

And @ wobi I wrote it while I was 1/2 asleep and just do not feel up ti changing it as it is a pain to do on the ps3. Which is the reason Why my real character isn't posted.
I currently have 10 miner 10 botany 10 fishing 8 goldsmithing.
And most I got from goldsmithing is 1 per town during the latest reset. I did get 2 previously. But they could add more. No harm in giving choices.

I'm not so sure about your idea, but something should be done for us gatherers. It's certainly a tremendous walk to get to 50.

Keep pushing though. Our time will come.

crafting leves are PLENTIFUL
yuo cant find any cuz you have no ranks in it yet

more gathering leve options would be nice
