Gontrant <levemete> New Gridania

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me how to get Leve quests to show up on Gontrant at The Roost in New Gridania? I'm a level 45 weaver and he never has a single weaver leve for me. I'm also a level 1 carpenter and he has two leves for that, it's very sporadic what he has and what he doesn't. For battlecraft he has all of them but only up to level 30 even though im a 50 white mage. I can't find a way to open a ticket in game so im asking here. No one in FC or shout has any clue so I'm assuming something must be wrong with my game, but im on the pc and everything else is fine so im doubtful about that.

Do you have to complete every leve from level five and up to get them on his list? I've done numerous weaver leves and still nothing is showing.

Any insight would be helpful.

Town leves are only available to DoH classes that originate in that town. For Gridania, this is Leatherworking & Carpentry. For Ul'Dah, Weaving, Alchemy, Goldsmithing. For Limsa, Blacksmithing, Armorer, and Culinarian.

Leve locations come in tow categories : Town, and Field.

Town means the three big towns : Ul'dah, Gridania, and Limsa Lominsa.
Field means those Leve guys in sanctuary areas scattered around the world, such as Quarrymill.

Leves come in three general types : Fieldcraft, Battlecraft, and Tradecraft. Both Town and Field leve guys offer each of the three types.

HOWEVER - town leve guys only offer Tradecraft and Fieldcraft leves for the classes they have local guilds for. Meaning, the Town Weaver Leves come from Ul'dah ONLY. You will never get a town weaver leve from Limsa Lominsa or Gridania.

The field leve guys, they may offer you weaver leves, or they may not. It depends upon the location.

The bit about fieldcraft leves isn't entirely right (For instance, I can get both miner and botanist leves in Gridania, but miner is only the level 30-35 ones). It should also be noted that fieldcraft leves have the same leves available both in town and in the field (Minus possibly fishing leves?)

For tradecraft leves, in my experience they follow the same rules as town leves at least for the lower levels. At higher levels they'll be found out in places like Coerthas, where you get leves for all the crafts from the same camp.
