Crafting Bug

I began crafting a mahogany log into mahogany lumber. I began by using inner quiet. And then all of a sudden, all my spells on my hot-bar are greyed out, I cannot quit crafting, cannot pull up any menus. "Escape" key does nothing. I can chat, but I just cannot stop crafting or pull up any menus.

That's not a bug, that's lag. I experienced that tonight at a LAN running on some not-so-fast WiFi with two others in the same room. It has never been a problem before (I have two 50 DoHs, it's not my first rodeo). Just wait it out.

I waited for over 15 minutes before finally just closing my FFXIV application. When I returned, I was able to craft until now with no issues. Unless the lag was longer than roughly 15 minutes, I think it is something else? Though I really do not craft that much so maybe what you're saying is the case, MithrasInvictus.

I could be wrong, but every single item that I've crafted has been on my home connection until last night, and the only time that I've ever had that happen was last night on the slower, shared connection. Maybe it was a coincidence, but I don't believe so.

I had that 2 or 3 times where you cannot do anything but chat.. i canceled it using the little x somewhere and got back to crafting again..
It's a point where everything freezes and no button will respond.. not sure why it happens , and i am 100% sure it has nothing to do with lag at all , since once canceled everything works as it should be + everyone around you also moves normal and do their things normal while your crafting is frozen

Hmmm... Mine just recovered after a short period, and it was then business as usual. I spent another 7 hours crafting today (back home again), and didn't see the issue once. Weird.

We appreciate you taking the time to report this concern you are having to us. However, since this sounds like it could be lag rather than a bug report, I will be closing this particular thread. We welcome you to repost this as a bug if it happens again.
