I wanted to suggest 2 things:

1. I have noticed that in multiple mob fights, players can have difficulty identifying which mob to hit/hit next (communcation issues, or just too many mobs in one place at one time). A target forwarding feature would allow you to target the person who is selecting the mobs, and hit whatever their target was. An alternative would be to be able to assist the target picker or other party member. This could be done by text commands as in FFXI (these have started to trickle through now, and hopefully will continue to improve with time), or by being able to set multiple "assistants" via the party setup menu who are shown on-screen. Either way, such a feature would make it faster to allow melee's/DD's to assist each other or the tank, or for mages to group up and move round working on single targets at a time.

2. Can the ability to target mobs please be extended to non-leve mobs? Not being able to identify targets (when there are multiple present) outside of leves is a pain. The suggestion above would help alleviate this issue, but I still think an open marking system (visible only to party members) is a useful and not unreasonable feature to add.
