    What's the punishment for botting?

    I'm seriously sick of this, bots everywhere.
    People work hard to get their gathering up to 50, but I wonder how many of us did it the legal way...

    Bans come in waves, I've heard.
    But how big is the punishment gonna be SE? Ban sounds good ofcourse, but I know many MMO's use semi-bans.
    I don't want to see a bot getting banned and happily gets back in action 3 days later.

    Are we talking about perma bans (pleaseeeeeee!) or semi-bans?

    you should read the EULA and TOS. its permanent. the problem is that most of the botters are using stolen accounts.

    I don't get it. Some other gaming companies (like path of exile) lock people's accounts if it's accessed from a location far from the usual and send the unlock code through e-mail.

    Why can't SE implement this?...

    SE does do this if a new IP is used to login soon after the usual one
