Or go play that game instead when it comes out.
That would be like telling a troll to stop trolling.

There ya go, pretty similar mechanics.
I think the OP's video links have made the point better than I ever could have that jumping should NOT be in FFXIV.
It is because the real power and decisions are taken by higher management who only see, think and breath money and budget management. Yoshi-P was very excited and had so much enthusiasm when he started. Look at him now... his last letters show how the moral went down hill. I'm sure if it was all up to him he would put more people more money and get more done sooner but he needs to work with what he is given.
Oh yeah sure....out of those games listed I think GW2 is the only one that will keep people interested. Blade and Soul and TERA just seem like mere Aion clones and probably just keep people's interest as long as that game did.
I have no idea about Blade and Soul but Tera isn't like Aion at all although perhaps visually it looks similar but that's where the similarities end.
I'm guessing the same people that stayed after cataclysm and Rift will still be here. Can't speak for everyone, but i'm fairly sure the people left want to play an FF MMO, otherwise they'd already be gone playing actual finished games. Personally all three don't interest me much (to me B&S looks ridiculous), but the only juggernaut on the horizon I care about is Diablo 3....which yes technically isn't an MMORPG but it will distract me from this game, fixed or not fixed.
