If you've already made sure the tank grabbed all the mobs then there isn't really much you can do as long as you weren't over healing. The tank might be doing his best as well but you're just out pacing him and the DPS. At that level range, other DoW DPS' shouldn't have any problems sub tanking the adds or kite them around a bit. Always check the enmity bars to gauge the situation and adapt.

Sounds like bad tank. As a 25 glad have done all dungeons up to my level lost Argo to healer 1 time and it was when adds poped right as he was healing me before I could flash.

If your tank has crappy gear they will not be able to hold hate, so that might have been the case. If their armor is crap you have to heal them more and pull hate, and if their weapon is crap they will do low damage and not get the enmity needed to keep hate off you.

Also not sure if this has been mentioned but overhealing generates a great deal more threat than normal so be sure to watch out for it.

I haven't levelled a tank yet so I'm in no position to judge but I guess a good old Flash-spam will solve the problem??
Yes gld get a quest at lvl 10 where the npc tells them to spam FLASH so that the mobs will stay on the gld while the npc heals.
After I did this quest I went into conniption fits reliving all the s**t tanks I healed.

    Stoneskin

    Hi,

I have been trying something new recently that kind of worked for me since I was having adds jumping on me in Castrum bosses / and it allows me to keep protecting the tank while in Cleric Stance in DG without having to switch back too often:

I keep Stoneskin on tanks as often as I can (10% / 18% damage absorption depending on level), which on a 5000 life tank is quite efficient event if mana costly. I do this because I suppose that a buff would generate less hate than a heal which seems to be the case since I haven't had hate issues since I do that and all my DG and castrum farming go smoothly since then. It also avoids over healing (thus ++ hate) and save a Regen mana cost.

This is not applicable to all fights, but it works a lot on DG rushes (allows me to DPS more without switching between stances that much) and save me from having adds popping on me when the Offtank is not aware. I even had bad tanks with bad hate generation, still worked for me^^

I found a post about hate generation, no clue if accurate but it makes sense to me, see below

" Shields only give buff threat (~70 threat), whereas heals give 50% of the total heal as threat.
    Medica for 600 each = 300x8 = 2400
    Medica II for 400 each = 200x8 + 70x8 buff + 100x8 per tick regen = 2960
You can see how WHM AoE gets ridiculous threat when used, but it does also correspond to the usefulness of the
heal. The threat from medica/medica II comes out to 4/5 300dmg/double threat attacks by a tank in threat (~5seconds of attacks?), which is why it pulls aggro so quick. Not to mention that the regen will generate another 800
threat every 3 seconds, which is getting close to the tanks threat generation as it is."

I am not an expert in all this, just trying to enjoy the game and keep everyone alive I hope this can help and please comment on this stoneskin thing^^
    Cheers
