Error Code 401

Hello, I too had problems with Error 401 today while subbing. It appears my card received 30day ban from 3+ renewal attempts according to RUMOURS.
I don't even have these fancy gamecard in my country so I was kinda meh for moment. Luckily crysta points worked. If you too experience this error 401 when subbing try buy those crysta points via Paypal which is under UltimatePay tab.

I might consider it, but Paypal is extortionate in their charging... They charge an extra 5% of the transaction in 'conversion fees'.

I wasn't sure wether I'd sub for a month or not, but I ultimately decided I wanted to give the game the benefit of the doubt. Now I encountered this error, realized that square is as pathetic of a company as they have always been, so now I am done with the game. They just can't get account systems and customer support right.

their system is so pathetic, i thought about going to sub to enjoy crafting and playing market board (since end game is not work for me at least until 2.1 hit)

I called my bank support to ask them if I have the problem and they told me that today I have been charged 4 times(4 times I tried) with 1 euro for each time...So SE took from me 4 euro and gave me 4 errors(401)! This is just pathetic..

Pardon? May I assume you haven't forgotten about FFXI, another MMO and the fact that A Realm Reborn is the relaunch of FFXIV? So this actually makes it the third time they've dealt with this?

And new company? This is Square Enix we're talking about, who have been in existence for 10 years, their founding companies for much longer than that. Are you sure you're even talking about the same organization and game we are?

Small transaction fee will be taken beforehand even if the payment won't be completed. If the payment won't be completed it will still be kept as reserve at your bank account and will be normally refunded in one week or at the end of the month depending of your bank. This is same even in the allmighty wow lol...
