How do I get rid of an event item I don't want?

I accidentally bought a green summer top (male-only event item) on my female character. I cannot use the item, and the option to discard is not available, nor can I sell the item. How can I get the item out of my inventory?

same problem.. they realy should adda disgard option on both those items and AF

put it in your dresser in your in room, although some of them cannot be placed in there.

some items won't go into dresser.. 1 because u may have it already and bought it accidently a 2nd time and some season and event items just don't go in there .. even tho it should

That does seem to be a problem. You can get rid of the "Custom" equips you get for the early level quests, even though they're Unique Non-Convertible and Unsellable, but it doesn't seem to give you that option with the swimwear bought from the event.
