Well, all the mounts look cool, I say it's okay to give a one "cute" mount as an option... Not everything has to look deadly and evil. Fact is if people didn't like that mount you wouldn't see it so often. Personally I like the unicorn and use it as my main mount. Sue me XP

And as some people posted, it does have to do with previous FINAL FANTASY.

Does anyone else think this mount is not only ridiculous looking but also does not fit into this game whatsoever?? What Final Fantasy EVER has a unicorn that looks like it got ripped straight out of a Barbie movie and plastered into the game. Every time i see this mount it makes me want to take out my axe and butcher it into something i can sell on the market boards

Any of those would have been awesome compared to the spooky stop-frame animation creature that they call a unicorn in FFXIV. Seriously, zoom in on that thing with your settings turned up. It's downright creepy, unsettling, and impressive all in the same - like some kind of misguided extra from The Life And Adventures of Santas Claus (1985)

Personally I love it, I trained 30 Conjurer on three characters just so they can all have one.
Occasionally I wish the mane and tail were white instead of blue, but it depends what lighting I'm currently under in a zone.
