I'll do you one better, when is the last time you saw a normal HORSE in any FF game? They don't exist, hence why chocobos are the preferred method of transportation. Pretty sure in a world that has chocobos and horses, horses would still win out the fight for most commonly used animal for transportation/labor.

The only one I can think of is Sleipnir, which is Odin's 8 legged horse.

Closest thing to a horse I have ever seen in a FF game is this.

Really? I didn't think it was quite that, well... exciting!

Back on topic though I personally would like to see it reworked both graphically and animation wise. It reminds me of a plastic toy how it is now and if you've ever owned real horses you'll understand why the animation doesn't look right especially when they jump.

I have never even owned horses and its animation looked off to me. So it could use some tweaking, but there are other things that need to be addressed first.

Barbie unicorns have way, way better anatomy/conformation!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates this damned thing! Ugly, ugly, anatomically appalling. Its front legs are rigged backwards, it has a disgusting skinflap that looks like a modeling mistake joining its jaw to its throat, and its product-rigid tail is set way, way too high on its back. Really a misfire from an otherwise super art team. I have it and never, never use it.

I'dve rather seen a mesmer/Ixion-looking thing, as a nod to previous FFs and something a little more interesting and less jarring.

There was a Unicorn summon in one of the earlier games if I recall...but yeah, that unicorn is hideous in the game. It looks like it was photoshopped in or something...
