unicorn mount

Does anyone else think this mount is not only ridiculous looking but also does not fit into this game whatsoever?? What Final Fantasy EVER has a unicorn that looks like it got ripped straight out of a Barbie movie and plastered into the game. Every time i see this mount it makes me want to take out my axe and butcher it into something i can sell on the market boards

Don't be silly! A unicorn from a Barbie movie would have way prettier hair, and would probably would include pink and/or purple. Teasing aside, I love it. It is ok if not everyone likes every mount.

Though now that you mention it, I do get the urge to fling spells at every Ahriman mount I see and kill it with fire. That's probably 'cause of all the times I've been oneshot by that mob type though though. What did the unicorns ever do to you? D:

The visuals feel roughed in, not finished quite like other things. The coloring and details look very flat, one dimensional. Animations while riding it are stiff too for the player atop. It's missing a sense of fluidity and grace, both which are important regarding a unicorn.

I'd like to see the animations and coloring improved, and perhaps something subtle added to give a bit more of that air of wonder and beauty attributed to unicorns. Maybe a thin subtle glow to the horn or hooves perhaps, or a unique hoof fall sound. It doesn't have to be trailing giant rainbows behind it, but something to better represent it as a unicorn.

Lol yeah I would much rather ride a Barbie unicorn than a grotesque one eyed winged creature. Would be better if I could add those pink streaks in its mane I think a unicorn fits over Ahriman though just fits my tastes better! And I do like the sound of galloping.

I kind of like the Ahriman mount, it has opened my mind to some great mount ideas!! You cant tell me you wouldnt want to ride around on a magitek collosus!! Will it ever happen?? No way!! But i can dream :*(

I'll do you one better, when is the last time you saw a normal HORSE in any FF game? They don't exist, hence why chocobos are the preferred method of transportation. Pretty sure in a world that has chocobos and horses, horses would still win out the fight for most commonly used animal for transportation/labor.

The only one I can think of is Sleipnir, which is Odin's 8 legged horse.
